Vascular Diseases

Varicose Veins and Ulcers

In vascular disease, there is a shutdown mechanism usually triggered by a mental and emotional overload of sorts. This sets up a short-circuiting within some of the energetic and physiological structures, leading to a 'shutdown' in aspects of the body's circulatory and vascular systems.

Viruses of any 'origin' can also play a part in this. Viruses can be thought of simply as 'packets of information' or instructional sets, and they can affect the integrity and functioning of venous structures by starving the veins, impacting venous return and the movement of blood and qi within circulatory structures. These viruses can be physical or energetic in nature. Physical injuries can cause structural injuries, and metabolic anomalies can impact the vein and artery structure.

What sets this all off is a shift in a person’s perception or perspective of their life, around what life has to offer them or has done to them. It encompasses the energy of feeling like they’ve missed out. There is often an accompanying energy of draining or leakage, where the person may not feel in control of what they need to be, with respect to their life and the continuous feedback loop of circumstances and events occurring within it.

When these kinds of energies become 'stuck', it is directly related to the lack of drainage of the various energetic and physical systems (downward) through the feet. The feet have incredible importance in Energetic Medicine. There is a requirement for clearing this aspect as well as a recalibration of the person’s overall energy because the spleen (which likes to obsess over things in an attempt to find reason or rationale) has consistently taken the energy upwards, affecting optimal flow and impacting this all-important drainage aspect.

In leg ulcers and circulatory disorders of the feet, ankles, and legs, the focus is very much on the spleen and its propensity to overthink things. When you overthink, 'ruminate' or worry, you render yourself unable to move forward in your life, impacting all areas of it. One becomes overwhelmed very easily, and an odd form of paralysis can set in. Often the person will be stuck in a feedback loop of negative thought processes, that if left unaddressed will eventually impact other systems within the body.

In varicose veins, which often precede ulcer formation or other aspects of vascular disease and circulatory compromise - it's like the development of the vein anomalies register and set up the distortion platform which, if not dealt with and resolved, sets the probability of further vascular episodes later in life. They can be considered an early warning system of sorts. What is required is the person being able to see the pressures in and of their lives through new perceptual filters.

The defining point of vascular disease is one where the person is stuck in a cyclic pattern or process of thought, affecting physical structure via the TCM concept of the mechanisms of the spleen. This itself has considerable impact on the venous system and dictates the degree to which physical problems can and will develop.

The upside is - there are many things that can be undertaken as preventative and treatment at any stage of vascular disease to resolve symptoms and prevent escalation into chronic situations.
